The Best way to Send Text Content

The Best way to send your text content is in a Microsoft Word Document. We recommend dividing content for each page into separate documents, named after the web page they belong to. For example, the content for you Home Page should go into a Word Doc named Home_Page.doc. You bio should be placed in a Word Document named Bio.doc or About_Us.doc. We also recommend that Instructions, for how you would like you content to appear, be included with in the Word Doc, however, sending them in email form works as well.

Here is an example of how to construct your Word Document. Click on image below to download Word Doc example.

Best way to Send Images

There are two ways to send images over. The first and easiest way is to attach your photos to an email and send them to your implementing web designer. When emailing, be sure to provide which page these photos belong. Furthermore, please provide any special instructions as to where the photos belong on the page. In case you have a large amount of photos you can break them up into multiple emails.

It helps to rename the photos with descriptive names as opposed to the random letters and numbers most cameras automatically give them. Here is a good example of Image Placement Instructions.

Text Content

The second option is to Set up an account with Drop Box. This allows you and the web designer to share a common folder that both can place and remove content such as images. The link is in the Tool Box. Call for more information.

Best way to to pick Color Theme

The best way to come up with a color theme is to visit the 2 color websites in the Tool Bar. If you already have certain colors in mind, look for them in these websites and find their Hexadimal names. The Hexadecimal (HEX) name is a string of 6 numbers and letters that are often located next to the color. This is an example: #E80C7A. These names allow the web designer to know exactly which color you want.

If you are unsure which color theme you like, we suggest going to the Advanced color website. This website allows you to view many pre-made color palettes or you can create your own. If you find a color palatte you like you can create an account and save that palette to your favorites or let us know the Hexadecimal names for the colors.

Once you have found your color theme, you can talk to your web designer about where to apply the colors.
